World Autism Day event in Shrewsbury

Rackety’s news updated 10/03/08

world autism day event in Shrewsbury is supported by Racketys It’s World Autism Day on 2nd April 2008, designated by the United Nations in New York.

We recently met a super Mum Nicky Clarke, who has two daughters with autism. Nicky has come up with a wonderful idea to celebrate World Autism day and increase public awareness.

Nicky has arranged a late night shopping event in her home town Shrewsbury and invited all everyone with autism to come shopping that day to help raise awareness and raise funds for a local charity.

Rackety’s will be there to support World autism day and this brilliant event, please let us know if you have any other clever ideas like Nicky.

The event takes place from 10:00am – 7:00pm on April 2nd at Darwin and Pride Hill Shopping Centre and Riverside Shopping Centre are all taking part – stalls will also be set up in the Town Square, and we hope to see you there.
