Missing Supermodel – The Hunt Is On...
We have just heard about a very exciting project and cant wait to see if we can help.
The BBC is filming a documentary / competition about eight girls who want to become models.
The plan is to follow eight beautiful women, whose dreams of modeling have never been realised because they live with a disability, as they prove they have what it takes to be a model.
In league with a panel of expert judges, the girls will be challenged to prove themselves more than capable of holding their own in the world of High Street Fashion.
It is not only the girls who will be challenged though - through putting the models in boundary-pushing situations, by showing the mainstream fashion world accepting a disabled model in her own right, they aim to prove that society is ready to break one of its final taboos.
The ultimate prize at the end of the show will be a modeling contract, a photo shoot with one of the world's most well known fashion photographers and a feature in one of Britain's best selling fashion magazines. It is not just a modeling competition - the project is commissioned by BBC Factual and Learning and through taking the form of a reality show will challenge, highlight and ultimately seek to change our perceptions of beauty.
So if you know any gorgeous girls are aged between 18 and 30 who fit the description and would like to enter the competition let us know immediately as filming begins in a few weeks. Or contact the programme makers directly at www.bbc.co.uk/ouch/models.
Rackety’s are always looking for male and female models for our catalogues, so if you are unlucky with the competition, you may still end up modeling for us here at Rackety’s.
Good Luck!
